RootsTech 2022 Registration Is Open

It seems like the time has flown by this year: it’s already time to start registering for RootsTech 2022, being held

form March 3-5. You can learn more about RootsTech registration here:

It’s free, and it’s the largest family history conference in the world!

The Family History Guide Association at RootsTech

The Family History Guide Association was a Bronze Level sponsor in 2021, and we will continue with that sponsorship for RootsTech 2022. We are working on a new set of videos for the upcoming RootsTech, spanning a wide variety of family history topics. Some will be in connection with the Virtual Exhibit Hall for The Family History Guide, and some will be produced as class sessions by Scott & Angelle Anderson, Miles Meyer, and James Tanner, members of our Management Team. Look for additional details on the classes and videos as we get closer to the RootsTech event.

The Hybrid Model

As you likely know, RootsTech 2021 was a completely virtual/online event, due to the global pandemic. In this article

there is an interesting comment about the “hybrid model,” which refers to both an online and in-person RootsTech event:

“While there will always be some differences between the in-person and online experiences, RootsTech will continue to expand its online experience while working toward a time when the hybrid model can once again be offered.”

So it appears that at some point a live RootsTech experience may return. It should be very interesting to watch the developments!
