Over the past week we’ve made a few changes to the home page of The Family History Guide. Nothing major – just some improvements to the look and feel. Here’s a quick summary of what’s new:

• Incresased the logo size, replacing the “Welcome to The Family History Guide” text. This saves space and eliminates some duplication. The top section is now shorter, making it easier to see the picture tiles in the next section.
• Added a Get Started prompt to click one of the pictures, each pointing to a main area of The Family History Guide, or use the menus at the top. This will be helpful to those who are new to the website.
• The “Tip of the Day” and “For Beginners” links have been moved to the second section, to free up space at the top.
• The Search icon (blue magnifying glass) is now in the upper-left corner of the first section to give it easy access.
• The formatting for the Mission Statement text is improved, and the words “easy, efficient and enjoyable” are now in bold.
