Milestone: 500 Tips of the Day

As I remember, it was shortly after one of our Management Team meetings for The Family History Guide Association about two years ago. Kim Powell, our financial strategist, remarked to me that it would be a great idea to have a genealogy tip of the day on our website. He was spot on with that observation.

This past week we surpassed 500 tips published for Tip of the Day, ranging from January 2020 to the present. They appear Monday through Friday on our Home page, in the “Today’s Tip” link. They are also included in the Tip of the Day page, available in the Misc. menu. You’ll notice that the Tip of the Day page has grown quite long. Starting in January 2022, the entries from 2020 will be included on a separate, linked page.

The daily tips have also been a fun and effective way to share content from The Family History Guide via social media. Each tip is posted with a photo to both our Facebook pages, as well as to our Twitter and Instagram pages.
