What Would You Like to Do?

We recently made a subtle change to the home page of The Family History Guide, adding a new “What would you like to do?” link. This link is primarily designed for users who are new to the website. When you click the link, you’ll see an assortment of seven links which represent tasks that many first-time users of The Family History Guide would like to do. Each task link goes to a place in the website that helps with the task, in a new browser tab.

Here’s a screen shot of the new section, with the resulting task links (the links in green are enabled on the actual website but not in the graphic below):

The “Prepare family history presentations …” link takes you to the new Class Outlines page, and “Something else?” is a catch-all that refers you to the menus, the search icon, and the Topics page. Using those tools, you can find pretty much anything you would need in The Family History Guide.
