Revisiting the Vault

In The Family History Guide, the Vault is somewhat like the back room of a bookstore: you’ll find some extra treasures of learning there, with a little bit of digging. Recently we have made that “digging” process a bit easier with the following enhancements—we hope you enjoy the enhanced Vault page!

Improved Organization

We have moved a few links to different areas in the page, to provide a better fit. In some cases, such as for Google Photos, the category was moved to a new Choice in The Family History Guide.

More Header Links

There are additional links in the header area (top) of the Vault page to help you find categories and sub-categories more easily.

New Subcategories

We’ve created new subcategories in the Vault page. These do not have blue numbers; instead, they are listed in bold type within main categories.

More Links, Main Section to Vault

We’ve added quite a few new links from topics in the main parts of The Family History Guide to corresponding Vault categories. These are indicated by the black “Vault” links in the right margin of the pages. You can also link directly to many subcategories directly from these Vault links.

“Back-to-Main” Links

At the beginning of many categories and subcategories there are now “Main” links. These take you back to the corresponding sections in The Family History Guide so you don’t have to do separate navigation to find them.
