The Family History Guide Presentations at RootsTech

RootsTech, the biggest genealogy and family history conference in the world, has announced its schedule for 2019. The Family History Guide Association is pleased to announce that it will be presenting two identical sessions at different times at the conference. Here are the details:

“The Family History Guide: Accelerating Your Learning and Research” – RT1119

Thursday, Feb. 28 – 3 p.m. in Ballroom B

Saturday, Mar. 2 – 3 p.m. in 251D (upstairs)

Here are the key items to be covered in the presentations:

  1. Navigating in FamilySearch, Ancestry, MyHeritage, and Findmypast
  2. Gathering and sharing family history documents
  3. Interviewing others and collaborating on family history
  4. Learning and using best practices in research.
  5. Finding the resources you need.
  6. Accessing records quickly and easily.
  7. Using powerful tools to solve research problems.
  8. Leveraging DNA testing in your research.
  9. Finding more research resources in the Vault.
  10. Tracking progress locally and online.

We will also have an interactive booth space in the Exhibit Hall … watch for details on location as they become available.
