The 2018 year is almost to a close, and it has been a great one for The Family History Guide. Looking ahead to 2019, there are plenty of opportunities to spread the good word about The Family History Guide—one of them being Family Discovery Days, the family history fairs that are typically held around the world at family history centers in the first part of the year.

If you are a trainer or consultant, or simply a family history enthusiast, we encourage you to work with your local leaders to get The Family History Guide on the agenda for your 2019 Discovery Days, or presentations at your local Genealogy Society. We are getting updates that quite a few of our trainers are taking advantage of these opportunities, and we are excited that many will learn about The Family History Guide for the first time in 2019.

The most frequent presentation is the Introduction to The Family History Guide. Other popular presentations include Activities with The Family History Guide and many others from the Course Catalog on the site. These can be done with a computer or tablet with Internet and a projection system.

We are frequently adding Certified Trainers for The Family History Guide—you can see a list here. If there is no Certified Trainer in your area or one is not available, a person knowledgeable with The Family History Guide can present. Another option is to have someone from The Family History Guide Association do a remote presentation for you, schedule permitting.

Best wishes for training in 2019! Be sure to check out the Trainers section of our website, as well as our Training Group on Facebook.
