Announcing the Study Center

We’re excited to announce a new learning tool in The Family History Guide—the Study Center. It’s a handy way to organize your learning in 2019, a bit at a time. The Study Center combines a step-by-step approach with high-level Goals to point you in the right directions for learning.

The opening screen for the Study Center is shown below.

There are individual pages for FamilySearch, Ancestry, MyHeritage, and Findmypast. Each of these pages has the following study Goals:

  • Overview—Get familiar with using The Family History Guide, and learn family history and computer basics if needed.
  • Family Tree—Learn how to skillfully navigate the family tree on your platform. as well as adding and editing ancestor information, working with hints and sources, etc.
  • Memories—Collect, scan, upload and manage your photos, documents, and stories of ancestors in your tree.
  • Research—Build a solid foundation as you identify lines and learn effective ways to find new ancestors.
  • Countries—Explore research in the countries of your ancestors, accessing records in lightning speed with QUIKLinks.
  • More Topics—Learn indexing and get help with your family history and research.

There is also a page for the Church of Jesus Christ, with a variety of family history tasks and topics for Church members.
