What’s New with Pass-along Cards

Several months ago, we introduced pass-along cards (double-sized, fold-over business cards) for The Family History Guide, and they have proved to be quite popular. To enable even wider adoption, we are introducing online printable PDF sheets for the cards. Just download the PDF, print on glossy or matte paper, and cut, and you have instant pass-along cards.

The new pass-along card sheet is now available on the Media page of The Family History Guide website. Note: All brochures and cards from The Family History Guide are copyrighted. You may not re-post or distribute them electronically without written permission from The Family History Guide Association.

Printing Tips

Note: If you need a larger quantity of cards, or if you need high-quality printing, ordering cards from The Family History Guide Association may be the best solution.

  1. You can use good-quality inkjet or laser printers for printing the cards.
  2. For best results, use medium or heavy gloss or matte paper.
  3. The card sheet has faint white border lines that indicate the card borders and the folding lines.
  4. Use care in cutting to ensure card borders are straight.

  1. I pass these cards along, have put them by each computer in our Family History Center and let people know they can find basic “How-To” information on how to use the four major genealogy sites at your site. It is better than trying explain verbally. Thank you so much for all your updates — even though it takes a bit to keep up — but do keep up the wonderful work.

    • Hi Lee – Glad the pass-along cards are helping! That’s a great idea putting cards next to the computers in the family history center … I’ll have to “pass-along” that idea!
