What’s New in The Family History Guide – 5-31-2021

Here is a summary list of updates made to The Family History Guide website, as of May 31, 2021:

  • 5-27-2021 – Added a new Show Me video for the Online Tracker, available on the YouTube Channel and in Online Tracker Help.
  • 5-24-2021 – Added links for several projects from the BYU Family History Center: Early British Census, English Marriages, and Kinship and Poverty in England.
  • 5-24-2021 – Created the Research Intro page, available using the Research link on the Home page, and the link at the beginning of Project 4.
  • 5-22-2021 – Added the Research with The Family History Guide video, available on the YouTube Channel and in the Research Intro page.
  • 5-21-2021 – Added 2 new Quick Research Basics videos for Spain (Intro and Church/Civil Registration), available on the YouTube Channel and the Spain country page.
  • 5-14-2021 – Added 3 new QRB videos for mapping (Using Historical Maps, Surname Mapping, Using Mapping Tools).
  • 5-14-2021 – Added links from the Genealogy One-on-One site.
  • 5-13-2021 – Changed the Intro Videos (QRBs) to be embedded on the pages.
  • 5-12-2021 – In Goal D1 of the United States page, added Choice D, Surname Maps.
  • 5-12-2021 – In the Trainers menu, added a link to the Volunteer Instructor Program (VIP) page.
  • 5-11-2021 – Created a demo and training handout for the VIP.
  • 5-10-2021 – Added links to a number of videos on the Ancestry YouTube Channel.
  • 5-5-2021 – Added links to gazetteer resources from www.roadsidethoughts.com to U.S. state and Canada province pages.
