Six Weeks to RootsTech 2021

It’s coming up fast—only six weeks are left until RootsTech 2021 opens its virtual doors. For those of you who remember attending RootsTech each year in Salt Lake City, this is quite a switch. Gone are the strolls to and from the Salt Palace, the bustle of people moving from registration to keynote to classes, and the wonder of the spacious Exhibit Hall.

This year, thanks to the global pandemic, RootsTech 2021 is online—and free! You can learn more about the event here: https://www.rootstech.org/  There is a Frequently Asked Questions section near the bottom of the page. (And, there is a mini-promo for The Family History Guide just above the FAQ, as it shows one of our booth workers from a previous RootsTech, explaining the website to a couple of visitors.)

What Will The Family History Guide Be Doing at RootsTech 2021?

Currently we are hard at work preparing our Virtual Booth. This year we are a RootsTech Society Sponsor, so we will be featuring some new videos designed to highlight what The Family History Guide is all about.

In addition to the Virtual Booth, we will be offering four video classes as part of the Vendor class series:

  • Introduction to The Family History Guide
  • Family History Activities
  • Research with The Family History Guide
  • Training with The Family History Guide

These are from 7-10 minutes each, so they will be easy to fit into your schedule.

Booth Chat

You can also reach us with your questions and comments by using the RootsTech Chat feature, which will be available 24×7 (although there may be some delay for responses).

Language Support

The last we heard, RootsTech registration is already over 160,000, with online attendees from over 185 countries. To accommodate a growing number of international visitors, we are planning on having a number of our videos available in Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, and Russian.

See you online at RootsTech 2021! If you haven’t registered yet, go online and go for it; remember it’s free this year!
