New: The MyHeritage App Project

You may be aware that over the past year, The Family History Guide has included Projects for three mobile apps: FamilySearch Tree, FamilySearch Memories, and Ancestry Family Tree. Now there are four, as we are just finishing a new mobile app Project for the MyHeritage App. The Project has entries in the Word Tracker and the Online Tracker so you can monitor your learning progress with it.

Project Goals and Choices

There are seven Goals in the Project, each with Choices and steps. (Screens and external links are still being added to a few of the Goals.) Here’s a summary of the Goals and Choices in the MyHeritage App Project:

  • Goal 1: Navigate Your Tree
  •   A: Change your screen view to see different ancestors.
  •   B: Open different branches of your family tree to view.
  •   C: Search for people in your family tree.
  •   D: Use Pedigree view.
  •   E: View Profile information for a person.
  •   F: Use the List view to display a list of people in your tree.
  • Goal 2: Edit Information, Add People
  •   A: Edit a person’s information, profile, or facts, or delete the person.
  •   B: Add Facts in a Profile.
  •   C: Add ancestors to your tree.
  • Goal 3: Record Matches and Discoveries
  •   A: View Discoveries.
  •   B: View Discoveries in tree views or profiles.
  •   C: Filter your Discoveries list.
  •   D: Scan photos and documents to your tree.
  •   E: Add and edit albums for photos/documents.
  • Goal 4: Photos and Documents
  •   A: Add photos.
  •   B: View photos and edit details.
  •   C: Tag photos on your site to identify people.
  •   D: Scan photos and documents to your tree.
  •   E: Add and edit albums for photos/documents.
  •   F: Do other tasks with photos.
  • Goal 5: Research
  •   A: Use the Research screen to search all MyHeritage records.
  •   B: Use the Advanced Search feature.
  •   C: Search the MyHeritage Collection Catalog and other records.
  •   D: Use the Search Records feature.
  •   E: Analyze your search results.
  •   F: Use periodicals to find research clues.
  • Goal 6: DNA Test Results
  •   A: See details about your ethnicity estimate.
  •   B: Get an overview of your DNA matches.
  •   C: Review tree and DNA match information.
  •   D: Explore the Theory of Family Relativity™ for DNA Matches.
  •   E: Explore the Chromosome Browser.
  •   F: Learn more about DNA matching with MyHeritage and Gedmatch.
  • Goal 7: Settings
  •   A: View and change basic app settings.
  •   B: View and change site options.
