This Goal helps you determine preferences, notifications, and settings for the Family Tree app.

A Set settings for the Family Tree app.


  1. In the three-bar menu, tap Settings.
  2. In App Settings, the following options are available:
    • Show Temple Ordinances—on or off (if enabled)
    • Show Contact Information on Temple Cards—on or off (if enabled)
    • Save Photos to Gallery—on or off
    • Show Maps in Find—on or off
    • Expand Record Hints—off or on
    • Theme—Light, Dark, or System Default
    • Multiple Screens—on or off

B Set notifications for the app.


  1. In the three-bar menu, tap Settings.
  2. In the Notifications Categories section, the following options are available:
    • Relatives Around Me—Tap and select Alerting (sound or display for when a relative is found); Pop on Screen (banner display); Sound (type of notification sound); Vibration (off or on); Show notification dot (on or off); Override "Do Not Disturb" (off or on). The other settings below have the same options.
