Introducing Quick Research Basics (QRB) Videos

We’re excited to announce a new series of videos on our YouTube Channel and in The Family History Guide website: Quick Research Basics. As of this writing, there are three videos—United States Records, Forming a Research Strategy, and Developing Search Skills.

About the Videos

These videos range from two to three minutes each, and they are provide you with the essential things you need to know and do, to start mastering the research topic at hand. They are narrated by Dr. James L. Tanner, a noted genealogist, blogger, and researcher, who collaborates often with MyHeritage and presents numerous webinars for the BYU Family History Library. Each video title slide indicates the Goal in The Family History Guide where more information can be found.

Where to Find Them

The videos are available in the Quick Research Basics playlist on our YouTube Channel. You can also find a link to the video in the corresponding Goal in The Family History Guide, just above the list of Choices.
