Goal 5: Create and manage albums for your Memories.


Digital albums can be an easy and convenient way to keep track of your items in FamilySearch Memories.

Summary

    Albums help you organize your Memories according to titles you choose.

  1. Review the items in your Memories Gallery and decide on titles for the albums you want.
  2. In the three-line menu (upper left), tap Albums.
  3. Tap the folder icon (lower right).
  4. Type the album name.
  5. Tap Save. The album is now available in your Gallery.

Summary

    Note : When you add a Memories item to an album, the item exists in both the album and the Gallery. When you delete an album, the Memories items in it still exist in the Gallery.

  1. To add one or more Memories to an album,
    a) In the Gallery view, tap the three-dot menu and choose Select Memories;
    b) Tap the circle for each item you want to add to an album;
    c) Tap the plus icon (top row); and
    d) Tap the album name you want. The Memories are now available for viewing both in the Gallery and in the album. You can also create a new album in the list screen by tapping Create Album and following the prompts.
  2. To view the contents of an album, in the Gallery view, tap the three-line menu (upper left) and choose Albums. Then you can select an existing album to view.
  3. To add Memories to the album from the album screen, tap the plus-icon (lower right) and add each Memory as a photo, story, document, or audio file, as explained in the Goals in this project. You can also perform other actions for any item in the album, such as adding a title, sharing the item, deleting it, etc., by tapping the folder icon above the item and following the steps given elsewhere in this Project.
  4. To edit the title of an album,
    a) In an open album tap the three-dot menu (upper right) and select Edit Album;
    b) Change the title; and
    c) Tap Done.
  5. To delete an album,
    a) Tap the three-dot menu (upper right) and select Delete Album; and
    b) Change the title; and
    c) Tap Done.
