Introducing the Show-Me Videos
We’ve been planning it for a while, and now we’re proud to announce the first in a series of
About
Before we introduce the first video, here are a few things to know about all the planned Show-Me videos, including the first one:
- They are intended to be short, ranging from about 1 to 3 minutes each.
- Each Show-Me is hosted on our YouTube channel.
- The Show-Me’s use simple animations to illustrate points, instead of narration. For example, you’ll see boxes drawn around buttons and links of interest on the screen, together with highlighted text that gives simple explanations of what to do and how.
- There’s a cool background music track with each video; but if that’s not your thing, you can turn the audio off.
You can open The Family History Guide in a separate window from the video, and then pause the video at any point to practice what you’ve learned in the video, using The Family History Guide.
The first Show-Me video is “Inside the Projects.” It helps you discover and use the features inside Projects in The Family History Guide, using FamilySearch Project 1: Family Tree as an example.
