This year has been busy with presentations to genealogical societies across the United States, as well as a keynote address for the East Texas Genealogical Society<\/a> and the WikiTree International Symposium<\/a>.<\/p>\n November<\/strong><\/p>\n In the Trainers menu, we added a new Consultant Training page<\/a> and a Q&A spreadsheet page<\/a> for consultants and learners. We’ll add a few updates to the spreadsheet in coming weeks.<\/p>\n September<\/strong><\/p>\n We rolled the Certified Trainer program into the Volunteer Instructor Program<\/a> (VIP). No certification test, just opportunities to present and teach!<\/p>\n July<\/strong><\/p>\n In July I presented “Research with The Family History Guide<\/a>,” a webinar for the BYU Family History Library.<\/p>\n June<\/strong><\/p>\n The Video Info buttons<\/a> are now easier to use, and there are more of them. Just click the Info icon and you’ll see a list of timings you can jump to inside popular family history videos.<\/p>\n We also added a Quick Prep page<\/a> in the Trainers menu that helps you prepare a class or presentation with The Family History Guide, quickly and easily.<\/p>\n March<\/strong><\/p>\n March was the online RootsTech conference, and The Family History Guide was well-represented. One of our feature videos was “The Family History Guide: The Inside Story<\/a>.”<\/p>\n We made some significant updates to The Family History Guide Home page<\/a> to facilitate navigation. We also updated the Get Started page with new tiles and categories.<\/p>\n Feb<\/strong><\/p>\n In January and February we added a series of 30-second Spotlight videos<\/a> to our YouTube Channel.<\/p>\n January<\/strong><\/p>\n We added some great family history activities for youth, focused on ward and stake participation.
