It covers the following important areas of research:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Research Intro<\/em>\u2014How to use the collector page for research in The Family History Guide<\/li>\n<li><em>Sources<\/em>\u2014Introducing genealogy sources and their importance<\/li>\n<li><em>Research Basics<\/em>\u2014Getting organized, basic research concepts, and strategies to use<\/li>\n<li><em>Research Tools<\/em>\u2014A summary of useful research tools, including those available from FamilySearch, Ancestry, MyHeritage, and Findmypast as well as knowledgebases<\/li>\n<li><em>Country pages<\/em>\u2014How to find and use resources in The Family History Guide for doing research in most countries throughout the world<\/li>\n<li><em>United States Research<\/em>\u2014Topics including basic and vital record concepts, census, immigration, military, church, land, newspaper, and other records<\/li>\n<li><em>States and Counties<\/em>\u2014Resources for all 50 states and their counties, as well as Washington, D.C. and Puerto RIco<\/li>\n<li><em>England Counties, Canada Provinces<\/em>\u2014Resources for each county in England and each province in Canada<\/li>\n<li><em>DNA Research<\/em>\u2014Basic DNA concepts, partner resources, and research tools<\/li>\n<li><em>Getting Help<\/em>\u2014Finding societies, communities, and social media groups to assist with research efforts and questions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Additional research resources in The Family History Guide that were not covered in the video include descendancy research, surname eBooks, and apps for FamilySearch and Ancestry.<\/p>\n<p>We hope you enjoy Research with The Family History Guide!
