Here&#8217;s a recap of the key additions to the site, with links provided to the supporting content in The Family History Guide:<\/p>\n<p><strong>FamilySearch &#8220;Where Am I From?&#8221; <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-6296\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/y-generations-234x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"234\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/y-generations-234x300.png 234w, https:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/y-generations.png 281w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 234px) 100vw, 234px\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>FS Project 4: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/project-4-discover10.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Goal 10<\/a>, Choices A, B, C, and D.<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;Where Am I From?&#8221; feature has four main parts: Generations, My Family Lines, My Heritage, and Timelines. The Generations tab opens a map view, with numbered circles you can click for ancestor locations. My Family Lines shows lines that you can link to map locations and connections. My Heritage gives you a glimpse of the countries and peoples that you are descended from, and Timelines helps you see how ancestor events relate to a timeline you select for world events.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MyHeritage Fan Chart View<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>MH Project 2: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/project-2-family-tree-mh.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Goal 1<\/a>, Choice E.<\/p>\n<p>The new Fan Chart view from My Heritage allows up to ten generations to be displayed in a view. The chart is color-coded, with arrows for easy extension to earlier generations. You can also click the fan icon on a person&#8217;s name to set that person in first position for the chart.<\/p>\n<p><strong>U.S. County Archives<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>United States: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/project-9-united-statesf5.html#goal-f5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Goal F5<\/a>, Choice D.<\/p>\n<p>This Choice gives you an inside look at working with records in a county archive, including manuscripts, collections, books, scraps, etc. The content is provided by The Archive Lady (Melissa Barker), an experienced county archivist and researcher.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Scotland Wills and Probate<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scotland: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/project-9-scotland07.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Goal 7<\/a>, all Choices.<\/p>\n<p>All the Choices in this Goal (Land and Property, Deeds and Wills, Probate, and Court Records) were updated with new links.
