This lack of a good, organized and understandable training system or tool, has been the struggle that consultants\u00a0have faced for years. The Family History\u00a0Guide simplifies this work so much!\u00a0 Step by step you can overcome the obstacles that arise. Here are some things that are helpful to know and do.<\/p>\n
\n- \u00a0Project 1<\/a> in The Family History\u00a0Guide will teach you sequential steps to master FamilyTree!<\/li>\n
- The Projects<\/a> in The FH Guide are all taught using the same learning pattern: Goals, Choices, Steps, Resources, Exercises.<\/li>\n
- Your action is required to “own” what you learn. Click on links, try things, discover things. Hearing or reading alone is not enough. “Put your hands on it.”<\/li>\n
- Everything can be found from the Homepage links<\/a>, the Topics<\/a>, and the Site Map<\/a>. There is also a Google search bar on the upper portion of the Homepage.<\/li>\n
- Eventually, you should consider becoming a Certifed Trainer and Mentor<\/a> to help others. It will greatly improve\u00a0your\u00a0confidence as\u00a0a trainer and consultant. It will become easier, more efficient, and more enjoyable!<\/li>\n
- Be patient with yourself, Rome wasn’t built in a day.\u00a0 Neither is a solid basic understanding of how to help yourself\u00a0and others when it comes to family history.\u00a0 You can find all kinds of wonderful resources\u00a0online and in libraries and other record repositories\u00a0all over the world.\u00a0 Just let The Family History Guide<\/a>\u00a0website actually guide you!\u00a0 You’ll be so glad when you do!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

As various stats were collected after RootsTech 2019, it became apparent\u00a0that The Family History Guide had some very successful experiences there.\u00a0 We had\u00a0three wonderful presentations. Two were given by Bob Taylor, CEO of the Family History Guide, entitled “The “Family History Guide: Accelerating Your Learning and Research”.\u00a0 The two classes attracted 1350\u00a0attendees.\u00a0 It\u00a0is estimated that a significant number of them were Family History Consultants.\u00a0 Rooststech was such an enjoyable event for those you came!<\/p>\n![\"\"](\"http:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/1-3-300x249.jpg\")
For the duration of the four-day conference, many trainers\u00a0and\u00a0consultants visited our booth, for live\u00a0demos on individual\u00a0computers, for one-on-one experiences, with The Family History\u00a0Guide. Over 1600 live demos were presented, given\u00a0by the management\u00a0team and our wonderful volunteer booth workers.\u00a0 Hundreds also attended our mini-classes in the booth, highlighting the various\u00a0features of The Family History Guide.
