This new initiative was introduced at RootsTech 2018 by President and Sister Oaks in a keynote session. To see a brief video of the address, click the picture at the right.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Changes to the LDS Project Page<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the LDS Project for The Family History Guide, we have updated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/lds08.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Goal 8<\/a> to reflect the new Discover, Gather, and Connect program. The Choices in this Goal explain how to effectively use The Family History Guide to<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Discover your ancestors, by learning FamilySearch and other tools and doing family history research<\/li>\n<li>Gather family history stories and other information from your ancestors<\/li>\n<li>Connect with your ancestors into eternal families by providing temple ordinances for them<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Changes to the Train Consultants Page<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the Train Consultants page for The Family History Guide, we have updated the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thefhguide.com\/train-consultants.html#planner\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">section on the Consultant Planner<\/a>. It now provides suggestions to Temple and Family History Consultants for integrating The Family History Guide into the lesson plans and progress tracking that are vital to success.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Moving Ahead<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We wish you success with the new Discover, Gather, and Connect program, whether you are helping others as a Temple and Family History Consultant or working on your own family history work.
