Introducing the Countries Knowledgebase

In a recent blog post we announced the first Knowledgebase for The Family History Guide. It covers general and United States-specific research, and as we mentioned, it is a work in progress. There are currently about 60 entries, with many more to come. You can access this Knowledgebase from any of the Partner menus (FamilySearch, Ancestry, MyHeritage, or Findmypast) or in the Countries menu under “United States.”

We are now excited to announce the new Countries Knowledgebase. This is also a work in progress, focusing on research in countries that have pages in The Family History Guide. There are currently about 100 entries, with many more to come. The more complete entries so far are for Argentina through Denmark, alphabetically.

In the Countries Knowledgebase, clicking a country name opens the corresponding Country page in The Family History Guide. Clicking a topic title opens that specific topic. An enlargeable map is included for each country listed. The Countries Knowledgebase is found in the Countries menu, under “All Countries” and listed as Countries KB. Links to it from individual country pages will be added later on.
