Family History Activities for the Sabbath Day (see Day #3 “Light the World” Initiative)

Day#3 of the  Light The World Initiative: “Jesus taught: Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.—Matthew 12:12…God designated the Sabbath as a day of rest, but that doesn’t mean we should be idle on this day. Instead, we should use our time and talents to bless others.” Some ideas are listed on the “Light the World” website for serving on The Sabbath Day, which often provides some extra moments for things you may not have time for during the week. It may just be the perfect day for family history activities as individuals or families! A little planning goes a long way when it comes to making use of those extra moments, and it helps to have a few family history goals in mind. Several posts from The Family History Guide Blog offer suggestions for family history activities for FAMILIES,  INDIVIDUALS  YOUTH,  and CHILDREN,  making the process of selecting activities that fit your situation easier.
